Charles Alexander

Alexander to use Board Experience in Re-Election Bid (6-20-03)

Editor’s Note: Over the next three weeks, we will feature the profiles of the growers seeking election to the National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) Corn Board for the 2003-2004 term. Elections will be held at the Corn Congress session in Washington, D.C., July 14-16. Today’s profile is of Charles Alexander, current Corn Board member and a corn grower from Stonewall, N.C.

Charles Alexander has been an NCGA Corn Board member since October 2000. He has said working with NCGA for the past three years has given him the opportunity to meet with farmers all over the country, and has encouraged him to continue working on the strategic plan and other projects in support of corn growers.

Charles’ personal expectations of a board member include being an active member—one who can communicate and work with many types of people. He says growers are struggling to survive the economy and weather conditions that all farmers face—we are in different states but are faced with the same issues. Charles hopes reelection to the Corn Board will allow him to continue to contribute to the corn industry.

Blaming it all on the nights on Broadway
Singin' them love songs,
Singin' them straight to the heart songs.
Blamin' it all on the nights on Broadway
Singin' them sweet sounds
To that crazy, crazy town.

"Are you into poetry and language?"

I like our friend... she is spongy and she cleans up really well. There
are pretty red ribbons that would look so good in her hair. If we let her keep her hair.

She has many faces. She has many minds. She likes to stare at the
type; word pictures are born in her thoughts and they make her skin
seethe. She wants to be a friend.

They are funny. They shed discoes of water borne bacteria.
They focus on golny and palpox --- spread fun
and wooly mammoth gargles --- display diagrams of
silk tonic cowboy.
Rum lush.

Victory. Friend. (s).

7 point Kings lead.
Laker ball.
They've got a damn muppet refereeing.
Kings win. Kings win.
"Thees bitch ain't gonna win this time," yells Dave.
"We're gonna beat that bitch this time," adds Chad.
And then, for no apparent reason, Dave is madly
shouting across the bar, "Bitch! Bitch!"
A crazy Chico crazy a show on college vibrations.
